The best thing about giving of ourselves is that what we get is always better than what we give.

A.M.H.P.S. is parents for students making a difference. Everyone who has a child in the Junior/Senior high school is a part of AMHPS. Our goal is to get as many parents involved in the many activities that are going on in each school. It takes a small amount of time and effort to help our children, whether it is attending a meeting, helping in the concession stand, volunteering to help with a fund raiser or helping with our honor roll sundae bar or any of the many other activities that go on during the school year. We would also welcome your input, feedback and suggestions to make AMHPS successful in benefiting all students.
The AMHPS meetings are held the third Monday of every month in the middle/high school commons starting at 6:30 pm. There are no membership dues and no obligations. We would love to see some new faces! If you don’t want to come alone, bring a friend. The bigger the group the more ideas are generated. You may be that one person with the idea we need.
We also need volunteers to work in the concession stand (indoor concession). The concession stand is where we make our money that we use for the students, whether it is money to help buy new equipment, books, or help with class trips. Even though concession is for sporting events, you do not have to have a student athlete to help out. We appreciate all volunteers and the money earned is not for the athletes: “IT IS FOR ALL THE STUDENTS!” Don’t worry about not knowing what to do. We will set you up with someone who has worked before and soon you will be the pro! There are junior varsity and varsity events which start at 5:30 pm (High School Sports). Middle school events start at 4:30. Let us know if you would like to give it a try! There is a sign up calendar inside the concession door with available dates and times. Personnel in charge of concession is Barb Maynard who can be reached at email@example.com
We give credit to your student for their 8th grade trip each time you work in the concession stand. So get involved, it’s worth it.
We all know what hectic and busy lives parents lead and the difficulties in finding time to take on extra things, but remember that this time in your child’s life is but a very short time. Volunteer to work with your child, they seem to enjoy working with their parents in the concession stand. They really do appreciate your involvement and so does AMHPS. This is all done for the students and the school. Please let us know what you can do, or what you think.
Thank you, we look forward to meeting and working with each and every one of you!
