Dear Families, Staff, and Community Members,
On behalf of the Board of Education, we want to provide an important update regarding district leadership and the process for selecting our next superintendent.
After careful consideration, the Board has decided to move forward with hiring an interim superintendent for the upcoming transition period. This decision reflects our commitment to conducting a thoughtful, thorough, and transparent search process for the next permanent superintendent of our district.
We recognize the importance of selecting a leader who not only possesses strong educational experience, but who also understands and values our community, our students, and our shared vision for the future. The Board believes that appointing an interim superintendent will provide the stability and continuity necessary while allowing adequate time for the Board to conduct a comprehensive search.
Most importantly, this approach will allow for meaningful input from our staff, families, students, and community members throughout the process. We intend to gather feedback regarding the qualities, priorities, and leadership characteristics our stakeholders believe are essential in the next superintendent. Community engagement opportunities and additional details regarding the search process will be communicated in the coming weeks.
The Board is committed to ensuring that this transition is handled with care, professionalism, and transparency. We appreciate the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the continued partnership of our community as we take this important step together.
