Dear Staff, Students, Parents, and Community Members,

It is with gratitude and excitement that I introduce myself as the Interim Superintendent of Addison Community Schools. I am honored to join a school community that is deeply committed to supporting students and preparing them for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Throughout my career in education, I have been fortunate to serve in a variety of roles that have shaped my leadership and strengthened my dedication to public education. I spent over 30 years as a classroom teacher, various administrative positions and 13 years serving as a superintendent. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges schools face, and I look forward to using that experience to help guide the district during this important transition period.

My immediate priority is to provide stability, support, and continuity for our students, staff, and families. I believe strong schools are built on trust, communication, and collaboration, and I am committed to listening carefully and working alongside all stakeholders to ensure the district continues moving forward in a positive direction.

I also recognize the importance of helping the Board of Education and community successfully navigate the process of identifying the district’s next permanent superintendent. My goal is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining focus on what matters most — providing an outstanding educational experience for every student.

I look forward to meeting many of you in the coming weeks and becoming part of this wonderful community. Together, we will continue building a positive and supportive environment where students and staff can thrive.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve your district and I look forward to meeting all of you.

Sincerely,

John Krimmel
